SET INDUCTION : 1. Role play – teacher acts like a hungry ( 5 minutes ) person. Pupils
respond.
2. Teacher brings a basket of food.
3. Teacher asks the pupils to guess what are in the basket.
4. Pupils guess. Then the teacher introduce the topic for today.
— ACTIVITY 1 : a. Shared reading – teacher reads the story (15 mnts from the big book.
b. Pupils listen.
c. Teacher points to the vocabulary of food.
— ACTIVITY 2 : Focused Word Work - Teacher shows the ( 15 mins ) pictures of
food.
Teacher says the words. Pupils repeat after the teacher.
Pupils spell the words ( individual or the whole class )
— ACTIVITY 3 : Independent work – (15 mins)
— Teacher distributes the worksheet.
Pupils do the worksheet.
